Easy go-to recipes to elevate your cooking game

Go-to smoothie for energy

Go-to smoothie for energy

Need a pick-me-up? Feeling a cold coming up? This antioxidant-packed smoothie is here to help! Filled with natural antimicrobial elements, you will be back to your health in no time! Please remember that this is just one part of recovering. Rest, drinking water, and checking with your doctor if you need antibiotics is also important.

Feel free to improvise with what you have on hand too. Kiwi can be substituted for another fruit, greens can also be 3 stalks of celery, and lemon can be an orange.

You will need:

  • 1 thumb of fresh ginger
  • turmeric (fresh or powder)
  • 1 whole lemon, peeled
  • a crack of black pepper (to help with turmeric absorption)
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 golden kiwi
  • 1 handful of greens  of choice (kale, romaine, or spinach)
  • 2 cups of filtered water

Blend it all and drink up!

My go-to, ready in 5 minutes salad is as followed:

-some leafy greens (romaine, kale, spinach, and/ or arugula)

-baby tomatoes cut in half

-cucumber cut in slices

-1/2 avocado in cubes

-2 mini bell peppers/ 2 radishes sliced

BONUS: add in shaved carrots and fresh herbs (basil, parsley, or coriander)

Mix the dressing in a small bowl:

- 1 tbs ancient mustard

-1 tbs apple cider vinegar

-1tb olive oil

-salt+ pepper

-a bit of water

Stir the dressing in the salad and you are ready for a healthy, nutrient packed delight!

Sheet-pan dinners

A healthy dinner ready in less than 30 minutes? Yes, please!

Turn on oven for 400F.

In a sheet pan, add in frozen salmon (or other fish/ meats), and frozen vegetables such as asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.

I love to add sweet potatoes or mini potatoes on the pan along side some sliced onions to roast.

Cover everything with a drizzle of olive oil, some spices, and in the oven it goes.

You can add in a simple salad (listed here) for a delicious family-style meal.

If I am baking fish, roasting potatoes, baking broccoli,  or Brussel sprouts, I pretty much always use the same spices combo because it tastes so good.

-garlic powder

- italian-blend seasoning

-a dash of paprika
